Football Recap: Floydada Takes a Loss

Floydada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 75-0 loss at the hands of the New Home Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Whirlwinds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1191st, while the Leopards are ranked 496th).

Floydada's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for New Home, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Floydada will challenge rival Abernathy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, New Home is set to square off against their familiar foe Post at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
