The home team had come away the winner the last four times Legacy Charter and Geneva had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Legacy Charter Eagles fell just short of the Geneva Knights by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Jake Threadgill put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, James Hodge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Kevin Barnard also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lake Mary Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Legacy Charter surely won't give up without a fight. As for Geneva, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 24th. The timing is sure in Geneva's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Calvary Christian Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
