Football Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Legacy and Eaglecrest squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Legacy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Raptors, falling 32-10. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, the Lightning couldn't push the score so high this time.

Andrew Gardner threw for 214 yards and one TD. Peyton Studebaker was his top target, picking up 109 receiving yards. On the ground, Aiden Morton rushed for 32 yards.

Eaglecrest found their leader in sophomore Clyde Surrell, who rushed for 162 yards and three scores, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Surrell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. William Brinkman helped out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards.

Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Eaglecrest, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eaglecrest, they have already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Mountain Vista on the 14th.
