Football Recap: Ladarien Miller Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat St. Paul's Episcopal + How To Watch

After losing to St. Paul's Episcopal the last time they met, McGill-Toolen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Yellowjackets blew past the Saints 41-17 on Friday. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McGill-Toolen to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ladarien Miller, who rushed for 125 yards and three scores. The Yellowjackets are 3-1 when Miller posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Blane Barre was another key player, rushing for 85 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: McGill-Toolen was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

McGill-Toolen pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for St. Paul's Episcopal, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Miller and Justin 'JuJu' Bonner.
