Basketball Recap: Hicksville Skates Past Gorham Fayette with Ease

After only 27 points in their last matchup, Hicksville made sure to put some points up on the board against Gorham Fayette on Saturday. The Hicksville Aces took their game with ease, bagging a 62-32 win over the Gorham Fayette Eagles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Aces as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xander Goble, who posted 14 points and three steals. Caden Leininger was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Hicksville's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9. As for Gorham Fayette, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Hicksville will face off against Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paulding will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Hicksville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gorham Fayette, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-37 loss against Waldron on the 28th.
