Basketball Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Glenbrook North Spartans

The New Trier Trevians will venture away from home to take on the Glenbrook North Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

New Trier is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since November 27, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 54-33 to Saint Ignatius College Prep. While losing is never fun, the Trevians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Wolfpack are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Glenbrook North had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past the Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 42-28.

Glenbrook North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for New Trier, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.

New Trier came up short against Glenbrook North when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 54-45. Can New Trier avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
