Softball Game Preview: Sedro-Woolley Cubs vs. Lynden Lions

Sedro-Woolley is on a 15-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Lynden is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Cubs will welcome the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Sedro-Woolley got the win against Ferndale by a conclusive 24-4.

Meanwhile, Lynden made easy work of Nooksack Valley on Tuesday and carried off an 18-6 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lynden's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Sedro-Woolley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Everything went Sedro-Woolley's way against Lynden in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Sedro-Woolley made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
