Baseball Recap: Las Plumas Thunderbirds vs. Orland Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gridley, Las Plumas was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Orland Trojans. This was payback for the Thunderbirds, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wyatt Denton and Bryson Hutcheson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Denton tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hutcheson pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Denton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Denton scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Hutcheson scored a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, Hutcheson posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March.
In other batting news, Colton Rosauer was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Carlos Telly also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Las Plumas' record is now 6-8-2. As for Orland, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.
Las Plumas will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
