Basketball Game Preview: Toll Gate Titans vs. Smithfield Sentinels

The Toll Gate Titans and the Smithfield Sentinels will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Toll Gate took a blow against Narragansett, falling 53-18. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Rhode Island basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Mariners are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Smithfield was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 49-44 to Mt. Hope.

Toll Gate's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Smithfield, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
