Volleyball Preview: Sports Leadership & Management Giants vs. American Heritage Patriots
Sports Leadership & Management has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to take on the American Heritage Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Last Thursday, the Giants made easy work of the Cobras and carried off a 3-0 win.
The 3-0 doesn't show just how dominant the Giants were: they took every set by at least 13 points. After all that action, the final score was 25-12, 25-5, 25-5.
While American Heritage didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Don Soffer Aventura on Tuesday as American Heritage made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21, 25-21.
The Giants pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for American Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
