It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Monache ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the El Diamante Miners, sneaking past 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Marauders as they're now sitting on six straight.
Eldric Flores spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Tyson Chavez was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2025. Benicio Mendoza was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.
Monache's record now sits at 15-5. As for El Diamante, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.
Monache will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Miners: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
