Bowie won the last time they faced Austin and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bowie Bulldogs came out on top against the Austin Maroons by a score of 47-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Jillian Shirk and Evelyn Young certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Shirk went 7 of 10 on her way to 16 points, while Young posted eight points and four steals. Young is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

Bowie's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Austin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lake Travis the next time they take the court. Austin will head out to face Lake Travis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Bowie will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th.
