Basketball Recap: Forks Skates Past North Beach with Ease

Forks won the last time they faced North Beach and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Forks Spartans claimed a resounding 67-38 win over the North Beach Hyaks. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Hyaks are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

JJ Eastman and Parker Johnson certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Eastman dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards, while Johnson posted eight points. Eastman is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played.

Forks is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for North Beach, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Forks will welcome Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forks is facing Chief Leschi at the right time seeing as Chief Leschi is stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for North Beach, they will venture away from home to take on Ocosta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
