Recap: Sacred Heart Prep Gators vs. Whitney Wildcats
It was a good run, but the Sacred Heart Prep Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-48 to Whitney.
Defeat or not, Sacred Heart Prep got some senior leadership from Drew Wagner who scored 19 points and JP Kerrigan who scored 15 points. The contest was Wagner's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was TJ O'Brien, who scored six points.
Sacred Heart Prep's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Whitney, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Sacred Heart Prep will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Justin-Siena at 2:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. As for Whitney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rodriguez at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
