Football Recap: Egg Harbor Township Takes a Loss

Egg Harbor Township was the 35-13 winner over St. Joseph when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles received a blow on Friday as they fell 27-13 to the Wildcats. While the Eagles had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Wildcats 6-0.

A big part of St. Joseph's win came down to the chemistry between Anthony Salamone and his top target Cole Brubaker. Salamone threw for 115 yards and one touchdown while completing 77.8% of his passes while Brubaker gained 123 total yards and a touchdown.

Egg Harbor Township's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Egg Harbor Township and St. Joseph will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to square off against their familiar foe Bridgeton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will challenge rival Absegami at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
