Baseball Game Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Uintah Utes

For the second straight game, Orem will face off against Uintah. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Utes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Orem will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

If Orem beats Uintah with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Tigers put the hurt on the Utes with a sharp 10-1 win on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Benji Engemann, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Anthony DeMaria was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orem kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive contests.

Orem's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Uintah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
