Basketball Recap: Elyn Bowers Key Part of a Team Effort in Wranglers Win

Pinedale had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Powell Panthers on Thursday. This was payback for the Wranglers, who suffered a 35-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pinedale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elyn Bowers, who went 8 for 17 on her way to 24 points and six steals. The matchup was Bowers' 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyxis White, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

Pinedale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-51 win against Lovell on the 13th. As for Powell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-16 victory against Rawlins on the 13th.
