Football Game Preview: Aquinas Institute Little Irish vs. McQuaid Jesuit Knights

Aquinas Institute hasn't had much luck against McQuaid Jesuit recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Little Irish will venture away from home to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Aquinas Institute will be strutting in after a victory while McQuaid Jesuit will be coming in after a loss.

Aquinas Institute will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Penfield on Saturday. The Little Irish put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 42-21 win. Considering the Little Irish's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jeff Logan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 264 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Amere Brewer was in the mix too, providing Aquinas Institute with two touchdowns.

The victory got Aquinas Institute back to even at 2-2. As for McQuaid Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
