Basketball Recap: Compass Academy Takes a Loss

Compass Academy was the 49-46 winner over Ozona when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Compass Academy took a 53-35 bruising from the Ozona Lions on Saturday. The game marked Compass Academy's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hudson Fowler was nothing short of spectacular for Ozona: he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christain Villarreal, who posted five points and 13 boards.

Compass Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Ozona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Compass Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-54 victory against Non Varsity Opponent on the 10th. As for Ozona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-41 loss against Irion County on the 10th.
