Soccer Game Preview: Bennett vs. Arvada

The Bennett Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Arvada Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bennett duked it out with Middle Park on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 5-1. The defeat continues a trend for Bennett in their meetings with Middle Park: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arvada). They never let Sheridan get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. With that win, Arvada brought their scoring average up to 3.1 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Sheridan from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Nora Rice led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Arvada and bumps their season record up to 4-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those two contests. As for Bennett, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Bennett took their victory against Arvada when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 8-3 score. In that matchup, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 5-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
