            Baseball Preview: Tularosa Wildcats vs. Cobre Indians        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Tularosa will face off against Cobre. The Wildcats will venture away from home to  challenge the Indians  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Tularosa is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last eight games.
Tularosa took a ten-run  loss the last time they faced off against Cobre, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Indians  9-8 on Wednesday.
 Adrius Vigil made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hunter Sewell, who  went 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. He has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last six times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cameron Holguin, who  earned one  run and two  stolen bases.
 Tularosa's win was  their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-5. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Cobre, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tularosa has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.9  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cobre struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.1  strikeouts.
