Baseball Recap: School Without Walls Triumphs

School Without Walls lost to DC International back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The School Without Walls Penguins came out on top against the DC International Dragons by a score of 7-2.

Patrick Morelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellington Hunt, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Lee, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The victory got School Without Walls back to even at 1-1. As for DC International, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School Without Walls will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Landon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. School Without Walls is facing Landon at the right time seeing as Landon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for DC International, they will square off against Sidwell Friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
