The Richland Center Hornets will face off against the Westby Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Richland Center beat Lancaster 3-1.
Richland Center walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 29-27, 26-24.

Richland Center can attribute much of their success to Tatum Reyzek, who had 21 digs and one assist, and Aubrey Kohlstedt, who had 12 assists and eight digs. That's the most digs Kohlstedt has posted since back in September.
Richland Center was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lancaster only served seven.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Westby walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Papermakers on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Norsemen not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0).
Westby was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-6.
Westby had a senior duo take command as Taylor Davidson had 16 assists and nine digs and Emma Kirner had 19 digs and two assists. Kirner has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.
Westby is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-14 record this season. As for Richland Center, their victory bumped their record up to 23-14.
Richland Center beat Westby 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Norsemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
