East Columbus is 7-2 against East Bladen since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The East Columbus Gators are taking a road trip to challenge the East Bladen Eagles at 6:00 p.m. East Columbus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.

East Columbus is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering North Brunswick just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Scorpions, falling 18-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gators have suffered since May 13, 2024.

Skylah Collins and Aleigh Godwin did some serious damage despite the final result: Collins scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances, while Godwin scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, East Bladen made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ashley on Thursday. East Bladen blew past Ashley 15-2.

East Bladen got a massive performance out of Tatum Allen, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Niyah Wooten, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

East Bladen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

The win got East Bladen back to even at 1-1. As for East Columbus, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 7-2.

East Columbus took their victory against East Bladen in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Columbus since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
