Softball Recap: South Putnam Eagles vs. Southmont Mounties
The third road matchup was the charm for South Putnam, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Southmont Mounties on Saturday.
Carlie Thompson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Thompson was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Braylin Boruff was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple. Danae Cline was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
