Softball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Bonham Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

Gainesville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addysan Pickett, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Bonham, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-11-1 record.

Coming up, Gainesville will host Sanger at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Leopards' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bonham, they are taking a road trip to square off against Denton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
