Basketball Recap: Caleb Dudley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Eagle Ridge Academy

There's no place like home for Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 68-52. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their 28-point performance the game before.

Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Dudley, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Dudley a new career-high in points. Daniel Guerrero was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 21 points.

Valley's record now sits at 4-11. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Valley will face off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Valley likes a good challenge. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they will square off against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season.
