Basketball Game Preview: Auburn Maroons vs. East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans

The Auburn Maroons will venture away from home to take on the East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Auburn is looking for their season's first victory.

Auburn is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They lost 80-56 to Fulton on Tuesday. The Maroons were down 65-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for East Syracuse-Minoa in a 78-61 win over Fowler on Wednesday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

East Syracuse-Minoa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Auburn lost to East Syracuse-Minoa on the road by a decisive 65-49 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can the Maroons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
