Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Palisades Dolphins 82-45. While losing is never fun, the Yankees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 499th, while the Dolphins are ranked 140th).

Hamilton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Gooden, who posted eight points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Yohan Martinez, who scored nine points.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Palisades, they pushed their record up to 15-11 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hamilton is set to challenge their familiar foe Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Palisades will face off against rival Westchester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
