Basketball Recap: Cromwell Comes Up Short

Cromwell and Mountain Iron-Buhl squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Cromwell had to settle for second. They lost 66-44 to the Rangers. The Cardinals have struggled against the Rangers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Cromwell still got an impressive performance from Drew Nyberg, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points. Nyberg's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jj Skalko-Olesiak, who posted 11 points.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

As of now, neither Cromwell nor the Rangers have any future games scheduled.
