Softball Recap: Bedford Takes a Loss

Bedford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Euclid Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 7-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Yandeliz Rosario stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Davison, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Euclid, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bedford will venture away from home to take on Maple Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Euclid, they will head out to square off against Cleveland Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.4 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
