Recap: Forsyth Dogies vs. Superior Bobcats
After a string of three wins, The Forsyth Dogies''s good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were outmatched by Superior at home and fell 54-20. Forsyth lost against Superior in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-6 score last time.
Superior's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Kovalsky, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 57 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Jaxson Green was another key contributor, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Superior, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Superior will square off against Fort Benton at TBD on Saturday. Fort Benton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last five games.
