Softball Recap: Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks vs. St. Henry Redskins

After flying high against Newton Local last Tuesday, Mississinawa Valley came back down to earth. The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks fell victim to a rough 14-8 defeat at the hands of the St. Henry Redskins on Saturday. Mississinawa Valley has not had much luck with St. Henry recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

For St. Henry's part, they let Paige Felver and Lauren Thieman loose on the outfield. Felver scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Thieman went 2-for-5 with a home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Wendel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Mississinawa Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Henry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Mississinawa Valley will head out on the road to challenge Twin Valley South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
