Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Donahue Catholic walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southwest Florida Christian King a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won nine matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Southwest Florida Christian with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Paul Bruno, Mattew Misek, and Luke Misek.

Donahue Catholic's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven games. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
