Volleyball Recap: Chewelah Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chewelah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Newport Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-8.

Kenna Arthur was nothing short of spectacular for Newport: she had seven aces and three digs. With that strong performance, Arthur is now averaging an impressive 3 aces per game. Grace Parry was another key player, getting eight kills, three aces, and two blocks.

Chewelah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Newport, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Chewelah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against St. George's on the 2nd. As for Newport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kettle Falls on the 2nd.
