Smith Valley came tearing into Friday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Whittell Warriors, posting a 71-14 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Whittell still got an impressive performance from Rocky Laremore, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Laremore a new career-high in blocks (three).

Smith Valley's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Whittell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coincidentally, Smith Valley and Whittell will both be playing Mineral County the next time they take the court. Whittell will head out to face Mineral County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Smith Valley will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
