Basketball Recap: San Marcos Snags 12th Victory in Last 13 Games

A well-balanced attack led San Marcos over Dos Pueblos in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. The San Marcos Royals took down the Dos Pueblos Chargers 64-50. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Chargers are ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

San Marcos is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Dos Pueblos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

San Marcos will challenge Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dos Pueblos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
