Basketball Recap: Merkel Comes Up Short

Merkel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Jim Ned Indians 64-23. That's two games in a row now that the Badgers have lost by exactly 41 points.

Merkel's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Jim Ned, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Merkel will square off against Sweetwater at 7:15 p.m. on January 14th. As for Jim Ned, they will challenge Clyde at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jim Ned's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
