After losing to Elkhart the last time they met, Mishawaka decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cavemen came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions on Saturday, sneaking past 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cavemen.

Gunnar Eby spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Braedyn Smith was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Mishawaka's record is now 15-7. As for Elkhart, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mishawaka will face off against Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Elkhart, they will challenge Mishawaka Marian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
