Recap: Massanutten Military Academy Colonels vs. Wakefield School Fighting Owls
The Massanutten Military Academy Colonels were the 30-29 winner over the Wakefield School Fighting Owls when they last played one another back in February of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Massanutten Military Academy was the victim of a tough 44-19 defeat at the hands of Wakefield School on Tuesday.
Wakefield School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aya Mason, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Another player making a difference was Meira Barnaby, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals.
Massanutten Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Wakefield School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Massanutten Military Academy will take on Randolph-Macon Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wakefield School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King Abdullah Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
