Waverly waltzed into their matchup  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Platteview Trojans 55-27. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven  games by 20  points or more this season.
 Among those leading the charge was   Annie Harms, who  posted 18 points.  Breeley King was another key player,  putting up eight  points.
 Platteview's loss  came despite strong showings from  Alexys Mandel and  Brooklyn Stehlik.  Mandel  en route to 13 points, while  Stehlik  scored two  points along with 19  rebounds and four  steals. Mandel continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's  played.
Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Platteview,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-15.
 Looking ahead, Waverly won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Nebraska City  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Platteview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
