Moline came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Rock Island Rocks as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Considering the Maroons have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Moline pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Rock Island, they moved to 8-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Moline will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rocks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
