Sutter has won four straight games at home, while Hughson has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. Sutter will welcome Hughson at 4:00 p.m. Sutter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Sutter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Union Mine. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Aiden Zwissig spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Karter Johnson was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cole Callison was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Sutter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union Mine only posted a batting average of .115.
Meanwhile, Hughson beat Liberty Ranch 6-1 on Wednesday.
Isaac Lupercio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Hughson is undefeated when Lupercio allows one or fewer hits, but 11-14 otherwise. Lupercio was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tanner Ehlers, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Zayne Costa, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
Hughson now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Sutter, their win bumped their record up to 23-4.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Sutter has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Hughson struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Sutter's way against Hughson in their previous meeting back in March, as Sutter made off with an 18-8 victory. Does Sutter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hughson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
