Softball Preview: Lowell Red Devils vs. Chesterton Trojans
Lowell has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Chesterton Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Lowell beat Knox 5-2.
Preslee Hill was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Chesterton can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Portage 13-5. The win was nothing new for Chesterton as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lowell pushed their record up to 9-13 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Chesterton, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Lowell came up short against Chesterton in their previous meeting back in May of 2018, falling 7-4. Can Lowell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
