Softball Recap: Cheney Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Cheney's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Moses Lake Mavericks on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Blackhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cheney has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Moses Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheney will face off against Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks are facing the Bullpups at the right time seeing as the Bullpups are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Moses Lake, they will square off against Mount Si at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
