Football Game Preview: Camden County Bruins vs. West Columbus Vikings

The Camden County Bruins will be playing at home against the West Columbus Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Camden County is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Gates County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bruins had to suffer through a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Red Barons. The Bruins were down 28-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Trot Pipkin put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 98 receiving yards and one score. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 60 yards.

West Columbus fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 36-6 win over Union.

Camden County better keep an eye on DJ Graham. He was instrumental in West Columbus' win, rushing for 144 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Graham a new career-high in passer rating (146.8). Xavier Savage was Graham's top target, picking up 69 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

West Columbus was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Camden County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for West Columbus, their record now sits at an identical 3-7.
