Preview: St. Brendan Sabres vs. Keys Gate Knights
St. Brendan has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Keys Gate Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
St. Brendan suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Doral Academy, falling 96-31. St. Brendan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-20.
Defeat or not, St. Brendan got some senior leadership from Sofia Toro and Jaden Castro. Toro scored 12 points, while Castro. scored eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Keys Gate, who are still winless after their 11th match. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 52-27 walloping at the hands of Downtown Doral on Tuesday.
St. Brendan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Keys Gate, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home.
Everything came up roses for St. Brendan against Keys Gate when the teams last played back in January of 2021 as the team secured a 62-24 win. Will St. Brendan repeat their success, or does Keys Gate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
