Baseball Recap: Paxton Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Paxton was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They fell just short of the W.S. Neal Eagles by a score of 3-1. The loss was the Bobcats' first of the season.

Paxton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phillip Bearden, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. What's more, Bearden posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Paxton fell to 3-1. As for W.S. Neal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Paxton is taking a road trip to challenge Destin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Destin has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something Paxton will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for W.S. Neal, they will host Satsuma at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
