Basketball Recap: Bonners Ferry Comes Up Short

Bonners Ferry lost against Timberlake last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bonners Ferry Badgers were dealt a 57-16 loss at the hands of the Timberlake Tigers. The contest marked the Badgers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Taren Bateman and Alexys Mierke certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bateman posted four points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Mierke scored three points. The dominant performance also gave Mierke a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (33%).

This is the second loss in a row for Bonners Ferry and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for Timberlake, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

As of now, neither Bonners Ferry nor Timberlake have any future games scheduled.
