Basketball Game Preview: North Putnam Cougars vs. Traders Point Christian Knights

The North Putnam Cougars will square off against the Traders Point Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Putnam is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, North Putnam came up short against Brown County and fell 55-45.

Meanwhile, Traders Point Christian was beaten by Clinton Prairie 83-51 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Gophers are ranked 110th).

Despite the defeat, Traders Point Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Quentin Jones went 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points. Alexander Krygier was another key player, putting up nine points.

North Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Traders Point Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
